ORGANISATION

Who makes TURF

TURF belongs to Breda and to everyone who wants to do, think and dance. Behind three days of festival stands a non-profit foundation, a team of makers and a group of partners with one shared goal: putting Breda on the map as the place where creativity and technology meet.

‍

Stichting TURF

Stichting TURF, the TURF Foundation, organizes the event and safeguards what it stands for. As a non-profit, we invest in the program, in talent and in the city. Our ambition is to make Breda an international hotspot for creativity and technology, with TURF as a platform for experimentation, creativity and inclusivity.

We build on three pillars: electronic music, art and culture, and technology. Each stands on its own, but the most interesting things happen where they overlap.

‍

The team behind TURF

The foundation's board sets the course and guards the mission. The core team turns that course into an event, from first idea to final set. For each pillar, programmers and curators shape the program by finding the artists, speakers and makers who give TURF its character. During the festival, volunteers keep everything running across every venue.

‍

Founded together

TURF 2026 exists because a group of Breda partners decided to build it together. The founding partners are CM.COM, Handpicked Agencies, MEZZ, Kairos Events, 360 Experience Group, Pier15 and Breda Beats, together with Yorick Knijff. They bring together knowledge, networks and stages, and connect business with a new generation of makers.

‍

TURF also works with Gemeente Breda and Brabant C, which supports makers and cultural projects where art, technology and music meet. And TURF is aligned with Breda's TTC vision for Applied Technology and Creativity, which focuses on Tech for Good: technology that helps address social challenges.
